Lava Hot Springs

We decided to go camping at least one time this summer, we haven't done much with my husbands lovely job... But, we escaped to Lava and we had so much fun.. The boys were in the water the whole day. They only came out to eat and when it got dark. We took them on the river that looked so calm and peaceful. Well, it wasn't, but it was still fun. Zack and Austin lost one flip flop, they could be added to the piles of one shoe at the end of the bank along the way, ha, ha, ha... Dave took Keaton on the river by himself because Brayden decided it didn't look so peaceful to him, so I stayed back with him. Well, when I went on the river, I was really glad that Dave had taken him because he shouldn't have gone either, that was scary. The older boys loved it and went up to the top and ran the falls. Great times!!!

June - Happy Birthday Zack!!!

In June Zachary turned 9 years old. He snuck up on us and all of a sudden he is starting to get as big as the older boys, I always think of him and Brayden and Keaton as my little guys. Well, Zack is just as big as Austin, they could share clothes even. He is a sweet boy, he is loving and kind to his brothers. We love you Zack. He went go-cart racing for his birthday, he openly wishes he had a go-cart to ride everyday. He loved it.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's day to all of you mothers... A tribute to mine, I love this lady, she means the world to me, words can not express her... She is the pure of example of charity and love. My mom has had a tough life and yet she still gives and shines. She is such a support to me and adores her grankids. Love you Mom...

We had a nice dinner for Mother's Day and went and walked around the temple. I just happened to have my camera so I got some cute photos. I had left my memory card at home, darn it, so I couldn't take as many as I wanted. The tulips were so pretty at the Bountiful Temple. Perfect picture background at the temple, with or without flowers.

The End of Soccer is light at the end of the tunnel

Wheeew, so much fun and so much running for ALL of us. Spring seemed short because the boys missed a lot of their games due to weather, but, mom is tired, so that is just fine with me. Brayden had so much fun though, he was trilled to get his medallion.

It is May...

How does time fly that fast, oh my... This is our best Easter pic this year, the older boys were being poops and didn't want to have their picture taken so I grabbed the ones that still want too.

We have been very busy with Soccer season, Baseball, and Track all starting. If you ever need us we are at a park or school somewhere across the valley. Between four soccer players it is pretty much the whole week, soccer and then try to squeeze in baseball, young men, scouts, you name it, family time.... Yeah, I have pretty much lost it. I can't keep up with my own schedule, let alone 4 boys playing sports.

Valentine's Update

Whew, the valentines boxes were made and everthing was a hit.. You got to love it when the note comes home that your kids have to bring a Valentine's box. The pressure, yeah, you could wrap a box and call it good, but, no, you have to be crazy like me. After two class parties and Tyler's room being attacked, we are glad that's done...

Happy New Year

Here is a great recipe my friend sent to me for some New Year resolutions. I loved it and thought I should post it to keep it to remind us how blessed we all are.

A GREAT RECIPE...

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.

2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Talk to God about what is going on in your life. Buy a lock if you have to.

3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, 'My purpose is to__________ today. I am thankful for______________'

4. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants, and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.

5. Drink plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.

6. Try to make at least three people smile each day.

7. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead, invest your energy in the present moment.

8. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.

9. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

10. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

11. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

12. You are not so important that you have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

13. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.

14. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

15. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

16. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: 'In five years; will this matter?'

17. Forgive everyone for everything.

18. What other people think of you is none of your business.

19. GOD heals everything - but you have to ask Him.

20. However good or bad a situation is; it will change.

21. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch!!!

22. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

23. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: I am thankful for__________. Today I accomplished_________.

24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.

25. When you are feeling down, start listing your many blessings. You'll be smiling before you know it.
